Have you tried reinstalling the device driver?

Do you know how to install a device driver?

Do you know the name and brand of the sound card in your computer?

The source is the name and location of the device driver.

To find the name of the device driver you first have to find the name of the sound card then you go to the manufactures web site and download it.

If you were to tell me the name of the sound card perhaps I might be able to tell you where to find the driver.

It sounds like a driver issue.
