I have acquired for fixing from a friend the above X6-7A Chinese Notebook, the notebook turns on but only to a black screen; I have searched around on the web for the answer to this problem, and nobody seems to be able to help, all I want to do is flash the VM8505 Windows CE 6.0 to the internal nand flash drive to restore it back to factory defaults. If anyone has a link or know were I can download the software please let me know as I am desperate.

I have contacted the manufacture several times with no response and this cheap crappy notebook is getting on my nerves.

Your help is very much appreciated
Many Thanks

You don't restore the flash. it is burned (electrically) to rom.

Usually you hold a reset button or reset with power or some such deal.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.

Hi thanks for the replay,

I am aware that the "restore" is burned to rom thanks??
And there is no reset option for this notebook, been in contact with the manufacture, I am awaiting a response via e mail now hopefully with the correct restore image.

There's a circular "pinhole" on the bottom of the laptop. Insert a pen point and press to restore. The circle should be labelled "reset."
