I AM USING LG GSA H55 DVD WRITER WITH WINDOWS XP. I WROTE A DVD (IMATION) WITH NERO. SHOWED WRITTEN SCUCCESSFULLY. WHEN I INSERT THE DVD IN THE MACHINE, IT SHOWS "CD DRIVE" AND BLANK. BUT WHEN INSERTED IN ANOTHER MACHINE, IT SHOWS THE CONTENTS IN THE DVD.

What color is the DVD. It could be that the DVD player that can't read it does not have the right color laser to read that disk. Most new DVD+RW and -RW have all colors these days. Also, is it a +RW or a -RW. You must match these to the player.

All colors? Only two colors are used. Red for normal DVD's and blue for Blue Ray. Also, if the burner was able to burn to the disc, it certainly would have the right color to read the disc as well.

Try a different brand of disc, some players are just picky about certain brands.
