Solved would you recommendation for long range modem router combo

Specs: Windows 7
Currently a rented modem/router from Comcast at one end of the house large TV at the other end. Looking for a modem/router that will improve Netflix and Amazon Prime connection.

Maybe you can find a more central location for the router to better serve your devices.

Also consider PowerLine adapters. You connect through the ethernet (not wifi) but instead of using a long cable they work via the domestic power supply. You put one at each end. I've been using some cheap ones for years and I've found them better than Wifi - never given me an ounce of trouble:

Have a read here:

The first manufacturer was Devolo in Germany. Fore my money they're the best... Unfortunately they aren't available in the US/Canada.

Based on assorted problems which often arrive here - and also observed on other sites - I'd avoid TP-link homeplugs/adapters... But the other brands available in USA/Canada are likely more or less equal in reliability and performance.
