February 23, 2010 at 07:56:08
Specs: Windows XP, q9400 , 2gb ddr2
I just bought a new processor for my a computer a q9400 quad core and a new mobo to go with it. the computer turns on when i have no video card in it work perfectly but when i put my video card in(radeon hd 4850) it sounds like it goes on all the fans spin but my computer screen has no signal and the video card fan goes on aswell. i dont think its the video card because prior to puting it on my new mobo it worked perfeclty fine with my old mobo and processor. i think it may be my psu its only 500w i just wanted to double check befor i went out and spend money on a new psu. thanks

Check psu label for amps +3.3v,+5v,+12v or u can post full name of psu. Try to disable onboard graphic. Hd 4850 require additional power from psu, make sure it's connected.

The psu name is ultra ls 500w & lsp 550w? Did u disable onboard video or set initial display to pci-e or something similar in bios?

Some refuse to work until onboard video disabled, some works fine. Can u post the amps on this rails +3.3v,+5v,+12v? It's written on psu label.
