have been trying to figure out what the best card would be for me
here is my system first
mobo: asus m5 a97 r2.0
cpu: fx-6300 black edtion 2
ram: 8gb 1600mhz
psu: 600watt thermaltakenow the two cards of choice i have already are
http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/ar...
and
http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/...
now being those are the two MAIN cards i have, i also have the pny 9800gt i can make a physx card, please help i have looked everywhere to try and find this out, i also went to gpu review site and well all it does is confuse me with saying some stuff better and other stuff not so much
The would is "which" & you must be looking in the wrong places:
so the core clock speed of 1000 MHz, and 1024 MB of GDDR5 RAM running at 1125 MHz of the 7770 doesn't make a differences over the 560 ti's core speed of 822 MHz, and the 1024 MB of GDDR5 memory is set to run at 1002 MHz, cause that where im confused on witch would be better if you know what i mean, like the 7770 also has pci 3.0 and 125 MHz (4500 MHz effective) for memory speed and thats higher then the 560 once again, so really my question should be more how is the 560ti better
You're comparing AMD to NVIDIA. They both do things differently (Stream Processors vs CUDA cores) so you can't make a direct comparison based on clock speeds. Plus you have to look at ALL the specs. Notice the memory bus - the 560 Ti uses 256-bit, the HD 7770 uses 128-bit - that alone makes a huge difference in the memory bandwidth. That difference is shown in the bar graph in the hwcompare link in my other response or scroll down to see the spec comparision chart & notice the Bandwidth, Texel Rate, & Pixel Rate numbers. The GTX 560 Ti is the better card.
ok thank you, i just have asked a few people at the store in town here and the best answer i have got so far was that its about 5% better over all
It's not difficult to look this stuff up. For gaming, the GTX 560 Ti is substantially better than the HD 7770. I'd say it's closer to 30% than 5%. http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Prod...
ok thank you, you helped me alot thanks again
