Wireless mouse causes cursor to move backwards

July 17, 2019 at 09:01:00
Specs: Windows 7
My Logictech wireless mouse randomly starts moving the cursor backwards. It is very frustrating because it even happens at sign on which forces me to enter things backwards to start up my laptop. When I turn off my mouse the laptops mouse pad works normally. The really frustrating part is when it starts happening you can't even get into computer diagnostic mode because the cursor starts moving upwards through the language settings ending up in in a country with a backwards reading language. I fear a virus has infected my wireless mouse driver or my mouse is defective..

That doesn't sound like a virus or a driver issue.
Have you changed the mouse battery and turned off the touchpad?
Could be a faulty mouse, as you say.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Likely a bad mouse. Try a USB wired mouse, if it works correctly, more likely.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
