If you want the zte microsoft driver you can get it through windows update. Connect the device, then go into windowsupdate.microsoft.com then don't do auto update choose custom update once it finishes scanning to the left it gives you an option to install updated but in the bottom of that it will show it is called the ZTE CDMA Handset USB Modem Proprietary. I dont know what the update number is 1) select Type 2) Software Optional 3) Hardware optional select hardware optional and it will be there in the list. I was having this same problem but installing sp3 seemed to help but i am not sure if it is a requirement.
