Solved Windows xp reinstall

July 2, 2011 at 04:13:51
Specs: Windows XP
I was installing Windows XP Professional on a a DELL Laptop LATITUDE D630. After the OS was installed, I started to install the drivers..chipset, network, video, audio..etc. After I was finished, the only thing that had a yellow ! at the end of it was "IDT High Definition Audio CODEC"
I tried looking up the CODEC and found it off CNET's web site. I downloaded it and installed it. It seemed like it was going to install and it went pretty far into the driver install then I got a
"Cannot Setup this Device. Code 10" error message. Can anyone help...

There are two versions of the driver uploaded on CNET.

Try uninstalling the driver and installing the newer version.

http://download.cnet.com/IDT-High-D...

Just my 2 cents.

Go to the Dell website and download the drivers for your machine from there.
