I have installed a second hard drive and it is recognized with access through "C":to My computer, then open "F" and some files are accessed but windows will not boot so obtained 6 pack boot disc and found error "ntdlr missing" so back to "C" and found the entire windows NT file missing on both "C" &"F" note "E" is Ubuntu and I checked there to .
HOW DO I GET THIS FILE AND EVEN AFTER A BACKUP RUN STILL NO TRACE !
IS THIS A PROTECTED FILE BY MICROSOFT AS EVEN THOUGH I CHANGED HIDE FILES STILL NO WINDOWS NT OR NTDLR OR NT____.COM WHICH IS NEEDED TO BOOT NEW HARD DISC
hm160hc HARDDRIVE PARTITIONED WITH XP FROM XP FILES ON "f"AND UBUNTU ON "e"
ALSO THE ORIGINAL 40 GB DRIVE IS FULL WITH 6.?? SPACE LEFT SO IT IS VITAL TO GET NEW HARD DRIVE TO BOOT AND RUN WITHOUT LOOSING THE 40 GB SUPPORT FOR BACK UP PURPOSES (DERRICK GRAY / ACTIVELID -> dsg1202@live.ca

If the OS was not installed properly it will not boot. If you want to use the contents of your 40 GB drive you will have to clone it and install the copy in place of the old.
