Maybe it is time to get a new computer.

A Pit Bull is like a gun you can pet. And there is no safety on it.

HI Pitn,

your specs advise W95, yet you report a W98 problem, both of which suggest you have an old pc.

The error message means what it says. It is not 'seeing/finding ' an os to load.

This could be caused by the cmos battery failing, and then some of the bios parameters will reset to default. Wrong date and/or time are an indication of this.

When the hdd params reset, the hdd then cannot be read until they are corrected.

Have you tried booting to dos off a floppy?

Please advise back on progress.

Good Luck - Keep us posted.
