windows 7 system will not boot

Specs: Windows 7 32/64
error message " a device necessary is unavailable". I think it is the video card. Bios sees the 2 HDs, cd, dvd, a drive etc. PC is an Intel 975xBX2, 4Ghz CPU 4Gb DDR2 ram.OS is Windows 7 in 32/64 bit on 2 sep. WD 10K rpm raptor HDs. All ran well . Goes though boot sequence and error message pops up. All dos screens have zeros across screen.

As with many PC components, the only way to confirm your suspicion that it's a faulty graphics card is to install a new or known-working one to see what effect that has.

If the video card wasn't working, you wouldn't see anything on the screen.
