Solved Windows 7 crashes with blue screen on games

Specs: windows 7 ultimate , 500GB/2GB
Hi.. I just assembled AMD athlon x250, but it crashes with games like igi1, cod2. I first had windows xp when this happened, i then installed wiindows 7, and a nvidia GT 9500 graphic, but still have the same issues; blue screen with display..."windows is shutting down to prevent damage to...etc. other cases it shows "IRO LESS THAN OR **EQUAL...I am new to pc.

Please help. ....

Are u sure the temp are ok(CPU & GPU)? Try to uninstall 9500gt driver and use ms driver to play the games(when u finish to remove nvidia driver restart the system and let windows take care of driver). Disable automatic restart to see the bsod error code.

See event logs and look for any dump logs for more clues.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.

Hi.. I had the same problem before intalling the graphic card...i thought an added g/card would help from a fren's suggestion but it was the same...it crashes after some levels.. the interesting part is that i could play the whole levels when connected to internet but not when offline...

did u try kuwese's suggestion? irql_not_less_or_equal
this means that a new hardware installed in ur system has a wrong irq read by the bios. reinstall ur graphics card drivers using windows(let windows install it) follow kuwese steps

Hi...I had the same problem even before i installed the graphic card...i bought and installed it cos i thought that was the problem... I have done kuwese suggestion, but the weird thing is that i could play games when i am connected to the net; otherwise it crashes after some levels...sorry for the confusion, i am new to this... as for the drivers, i have nvidia driver that is inbuilt, can i uninstall this driver, will windows work then...
