Specs: Windows XP
Hello all, put a WD10EZEX 1T drive as a second disk. Disk manager does not recognize the disk so I cannot format it.
I check the disk on another pc and it was recognized and formated.
My pc simply will not work with it. Any ideas
using Gigabyte GA-m68m-2sp mobo

Try another SATA port as well as new signal cable and another power connector.
If you are currently running your primary disk as a PATA drive, you may not have SATA drivers installed for your motherboard since you appear to be running XP, if so, install the SATA driver and you should be fine. By the way, I do not remember if XP will recognize a single 1TB drive, if not, then see if you can partition it into two drives and that may work for you.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
