I have Toshiba a665-s6067 laptop and when it come out of"sleep mode" it does not recognize the devices pluged in the usb port's such as a external HD, marble mouse and a bluetooth but if I unplug them before it goes to sleep and then plug them back in when it comes back out of sleep mode they work. I check power options and bios settings and everything seem in order.

The computer may be allowing the OS to shut off power to the USB ports. Check my # 2 here:

Windows 7 and modern bio's have some more options. One or both may be used to keep power to the usb ports. Standby and Hibernate and Hybrid modes as well as bios states and power settings allow you to select correct for your situation. If they exist you can change them.

I think I may have solved my problem, I turned off the toshiba power save option in startup and in services and seems to be working fine now. Thanks for the help though.
