Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP3, 1.662 GHz / 1527 MB
I have an old laptop which I bought more than 6 years ago, as you can probably understand from my specs. It still works flawlessly but it has only an 80 GB HDD. I want to replace it with a 1 tb hard disk, but I was wondering if it would have any problems in the future with relation to speed etc. I have already tested whether a hard disk that big would work or not.

The link below has a list of compatible parts for your model laptop:

There is a 1TB drive at the bottom of the list so it looks like you are good to go.

In case someone comes across this post and is wondering how it turned out, it turned out great. I'm using my laptop with a 1TB harddisk, dual-boot with both Windows XP and WIndows 7 (now upgraded to Windows 10) with absolutely no problems whatsoever.
