why won't my games work with my graphics card

Specs: Windows XP
I purchased Fishdom from Playrix, downloaded all seven versions of the game, and installed them on my desktop. When I try to play them, any of the gateway keys( such as start, or exit ect.) are replaced with funky fuzzy squarish graphics. I've done a little research and it seems my graphics card could be the problem, but it plays all my other games (installed from hard copy- CD) perfectly. I have run the dxdiag report on my pc, here is the card information: nvidia geforce4 mx 420 with 64.0 mb memory. HELP!?!

If the specifications of the rest of your system are indicative of the graphics card you list then it isn't surprising you have difficulty.

Did you look at the system requirements before downloading? They state Minimum CPU 1GHz. Minimum system ram 512mb Minimum DX 8.0 and most importantly, Minimum graphics 128mb.

Since yours only has 64mb you fail to meet minimum requirements.

The MX series was nvidia's budget line of cards. When the MX420 was 1st released back in 2002 (or thereabouts), it was considered to be a very low end/entry level card. It was never good for gaming. As Richard59 pointed it, it appears you have a fairly old system. At the very least, you need a video card upgrade.
