If this is an external USB hub, buy a new one as that one is probably faulty.

Buy a quality one, it doesn't pay to buy the cheapest ones.

Is this an external powered USB hub?

If no external power is available the USB hub draws power from the USB port. Typically the current is limited to 500mA on each USB port. Mouse and keyboard use little power and could still work OK. Other devices may not have enough power to work.

You can try reinstalling the chipset drivers for your motherboard.system and anything related to USB ports.
Occasionally a Windows update overwrites a driver with an incorrect one that it perceives is an update or something it installs interferes with the current driver and a proper updated one will fix this also.
Obtain drivers only from system mfg's sites for complete systems and motherboard mfg's sites for custom systems (except graphics card drivers from gpu mfg's site).

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
