Solved why my transcend drive not detected by my computer

Specs: Windows XP
my drive is not being detected by any computer
i am unable to use my data stored inside
how to solve this problem?

Look for the drive in Computer Management. If the drive shows up there as RAW format you have probably corrupted the file system by improperly removing the drive.

You should always use the icon near the clock in the tray to safely remove any portable devices.

You can repair the file system using testdisk or Easeus partition recovery.

The drive can also show up as "Raw" in Disk Management simply because it doesn't have a drive letter assigned to it - in that case it is not corrupted, just needs a drive letter.

You can do that manually. I've had to do that often when plugging in an external drive. I just give it a drive letter and up it comes in a few seconds, fully working.
