Solved Why does My Gateway only charges while it's plugged in?

Specs: Windows 7
I have a Gateway NV59C. It only charges while plugged in, Then, the blue light start blinking and the charge stops.
New battery, and power supply less than a year old.
HELP!

Maybe I'm misunderstanding but it can only charge when plugged in.

Perhaps you mean it only charges for a short while after its first plugged in?

Yea, can't charge when it isn't plugged in. Your battery may be worn out. How old is it?

Hard to say but there is a possibility it is the jack soldering (or something similar) - see last post on here:
http://forums.techguy.org/hardware/...
Try wiggling the connection and see if that affects the lights.

Having said that even new items can be defective.
