"sanyo dvd/vhs player dvw-7000"
Keyword "Player", not "Recorder"

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

So you are talking about a domestic DVD/VHS device then. What is the make and model number?

What does the error message say?

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

That's sure an unhelpful error message. Probably not much you can do anyhow. All I can suggest is you unplug the unit for about 10 minutes and/or try a different brand or type of Blank DVD.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Some units are rather powerful picky about disk brands. Have you tried more than one brand of disk?

The Sanyo DVW-7000 is a DVD Player, not a recorder. It has no idea what to do with a blank disc.
