Why does my computer keep crashing?

January 22, 2011 at 17:41:48
Specs: Toshiba
My computer completely freezes up and my screen turns pixelated whenever I go onto certain sites. I have to manually restart my comuter to get it to work again. The fist time it happened I was on Stumbleupon. I can go onto to websites like Facebook, Yahoo, Google etc. without a problem, but when I go places like Youtube or even my school's website it freezes up! When I did some research it seemed like my computer might be overheating, which is apparently common with Toshiba's, but I don't think that would explain why it only happens on certain websites and ONLY when I am online.

When you visit sites that have more graphic detail, it "pushes" the video chip. Download/install fanspeed, and it SHOULD show you the temperature of the video chip. Report back the temperatures.

When I Googled "Fanspeed download" the only thing that came up was SpeedFan so I installed that and the temps that it gives are Core0:47C Core1:45C.
