why did one of the ram slots stopped reading ?

Specs: Windows 7
i have a 2 slots ram MB = Giga-byte
model = GA-880 GM - USB3L
i have 2 memory DDR3 sticks 2*4GB
switched off my desktop to clean / plugged electricity off & avoided static also
now the 2 sticks are working on 1st slot only & beeps when i add the other stick ,doesnt boot, it only works on 4GB RAM , when i press DEL to check bios , it doesnt open , i press tab to show that bios is F4 & not F1 as mentioned on its website , how can i fix that issue ,
DDR3 1666+
please help

remove stick giving problems out and in to clean the contacts or use a pencil eraser.its called burnishi

You're not correctly reinstalling the RAM. It has to be fully seated in the slot & must 'click-in' on each end.
