Specs: Windows 7, Core i5 3rd Gen 2.501 Ghz / 4GB
Just this morning i noticed there are white spots on my Laptop LCD, they were not there last night when i was playing games.I tried to put different wallpapers on screen to see if they are dead pixels but no they are only visible on light colors like blue, yellow, orange & they absolutely disappears on gray or black colors.

When looking closer, they appear as there are extreme light emitted from that parts only. There are 4 such spots on screen

Are they repairable?
What should i do?

I have lenovo G580 Laptop.

Thanks!

im guessing its probably the screen needing replacement or video chip which is onboard ie attached the motherboard which wouldnt be a cheap fix.but maybe other people will jump in with me on this

Thanks for the reply..
Also looking it closer i can say that this white illuminated spots are behind the pixel as pixel are changing colors accordingly & they are not visible on dark background.

So, something that lies behind the pixel plates has to do with it.

Lets see what others have to say

Try gently rubbing the affected area of one of the spots using a soft cloth.

I tried rubbing the area, also tried tapping on it & even applying some pressure on it but it stays as it is.

Now, i am curious about how did it happened & what is causing such a weird thing, there are 4 spots suddenly appeared this morning.

i searched a lot on google & found may topics but there is no reason why this happens suddenly, i can live with this spot or replace the whole LCD not a big deal but something that has no details on internet is weird for me.

Try connecting an external monitor to see if the issue is with the Graphics chip, or the screen itself.

They still appear in BIOS so its the LCD.

As long as i know LCD's are made of several transparent layers of some type of plastic & this white spot have appeared because two or more layers are sticking with each other..

Any guide disassembling the LCD?

They still appear in BIOS so its the LCD.

How did you arrive at that conclusion. The BIOS uses the same video hardware as Windows. So unless you use a different monitor it could still be the video hardware.
