Hi there

I am guessing from your post that you are new to Linux and so have had no previous experience, if this is the case I would suggest you download and install Ubuntu Linux as it is a learning O/S and is much more easy to learn, most Linux developers download this version when first starting out, you can download it for free at http://www.ubuntu.com/ or at the same website you can request a CD/DVD to be sent to you for a small fee,

Hope this helps

Hey Tor Fey, you can't just blindly recommend Ubuntu without knowing the system specs. What if he has a 233MHz w/32MB RAM? He only has a 10GB HDD so that's a pretty good indication that he's asking about an old system.

reerules,

When you do ask your question in the Linux forum, be sure to list your specs...at least your CPU model/speed & the amount of RAM.
