which laptop is better for the Money ($500)

Specs: Windows Vista
I need help getting a honest opinion from the community. I got 3 laptops to chose from all for about $500.00 Which is better and why. also suggestion on other laptop for the price. Thanks for the help.

HP G62X Intel® Core™ i3 Processor 350M (2.26GHz)
3MB L3 cache

Sony EE32FX/BJ 15.5 inch screen. AMD® Athlon™ II Dual Core P340, 2.20GHz, 1MB L2 Cache

HP dv6-3120us VISION Technology from AMD with AMD Turion™ II Dual-Core Mobile Processor P540

Just my opinion....if it has Vista on it don't buy it. If it will support xp or win 7 buy it.

If it is a Vista machine...consider it to always be a Vista machine as there is a driver problem should you decide to go xp or 7.

You are going to see a lot of outlets unloading Vista computers and the reason is stated above.

I would look for monitor size.....hard drive size and memory. And is it set up for wireless.

Also take a close look at any warranty.....and does it come with any cds..(OS)

Laptops are becoming like Bic lighters....when out of gas you toss it. The repair cost can be more than a new one...........

Core i3 > Athlon II > Turion II

The system should have at least 4GB RAM, 250GB HDD or better, & if you're into gaming, the graphics type is extremely important. Also, Windows 7 is the only way to go - 64-bit if it's available.
