Solved where can I buy a 50 pin to 40 pin IDE ribbon cable

Specs: Windows 7
Ineed a 50 pin female to a 40 pin female ide ribbon cable for my internal Iomega Jazz
There is 1 ide port on my motherboard
I am also running Win 7 . Needing docs from my discs and have no other way to retrieve it

Sure the Jazz drive isn't SCSI? 50-pin connectors are almost always SCSI, and the interfaces (SCSI vs. IDE) are completely different. If you want to use it, you'll likely have to buy an SCSI adapter (and given other sites, it may still not be that easy with Win7):

You may want to keep your eye one this:

Even if you don't need the external drive it does have an iomega SCSI card and might go for what you'd be willing to pay for just the card.

I had an old 486 microchannel computer long ago that had some kind of SCSI to IDE converter. You'd attach a SCSI drive to it and then connect the converter cable to the computer's on-board IDE connector.
