Specs: Windows 7
Hello,i currently own an old pc and i am mostly interested on gaming, currently i can't play new games. And games like minecraft or roblox run with 5-15 fps. I can play games like counter strike 1.6,or mount and blade warband and GTA:San Andreas on lowest settings, but still.. I currently have 100$ and i don't know what to upgrade for a better gaming experience

Here are my specs: Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 32-bit SP1 CPU: Intel Pentium E5300 @ 2.60GHz(Wolfdale 45nm Technology) Motherboard:ConRoe1333-D667 (CPUSocket) Graphics:Intel 82945G Express Chipset Family (ASRock) -M19W (1440x900@60Hz) *Storage: 74GB Western Digital WDC WD800JD-60MSA1 ATA Device (SATA)

My budget is 100$,can i somewhat start saving this pc with a slow proccess,or it can't be done? My goal is to play games like GTA V smoothly.. Thank you for your time!

Your system is outdated so I don't recommend investing a lot of money in it. You didn't post the power supply specs or how much memory is installed, but looking at the motherboard specs, it will only accept up to 4GB RAM (2 x 2GB). The integrated Intel graphics suck so you'd definitely need a graphics card for decent gaming. Your goal should be installing a gaming graphics card, upgrading to 4GB RAM (if you haven't already), & overclocking the CPU. You also have a small HDD so it's very important to run "lean & mean". In other words, eliminate all the useless/unused software & games, make sure drivers are up to date, run a lightweight security program, & practice regular maintenance.

The Pentium E5300 only runs at 800MHz FSB but your board is overclockable & supports up to 1333MHz FSB. It should be simple to reclock the CPU from 13x200MHz (2.6GHz) to say, 8x333Mhz (2.66GHz) to take advantage of the board's faster FSB capability. You might even be able to overclock to 9x333Ghz (3.0GHz). The RAM should be configured to match the CPU frequency (333Mhz) to provide the desired 1:1 frequency ratio.

Here's a link to your board: https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Con...

Since you mentioned playing GTA V as your goal, you should look at the hardware requirements. There's both "minimum" & "recommended" specs. You can't meet the 8GB RAM recommendation, but you should be able to find a 2GB graphics card that meets the requirement & is within your budget.

That's some old tech. I'm not sure you can squeeze out much more out of it. That said, you've got a PCI-Ex16 slot and seemingly nothing plugged into it. A dedicated video card would move the 3D graphics performance: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod...
