What kind of memory does Dimension 2400 use

Specs: Windows XP & Windows 7, P4/1.5GB - Core i5/4GB
I would like to know what kind of memory a Dell Dimension 2400 uses? I did go to the Dell website but for 1GB of memory it costs like $70 with shipping and taxes. I don't want to pay that much for Dell brand memory. I would just like to go to Best Buy or CompUSA and just tell them the kind of memory I need, Thanks.

Any DDR266, 333, or 400 (or PC2100, 2700, 3200) will work with that machine. DDR400/PC3200 will be automatically underclocked to 333MHz.

Socket 939 | Dual-core Opteron 185 @ 3.2GHz | 4GB | 1.0TB | Win7 x64
GeForce GTX 460 1GB | X-Fi Ti Pro | A8N32-SLI Deluxe | Antec P182

Go to www.crucial.com and use the online scanner. Once you know the type and amount, go to www.newegg.com and check out the prices. Or do an online search for it. all od those stores you mentioned are high priced as is Dell. You can do much better online.
