February 16, 2013 at 10:59:23
Specs: Linux i686,
Compaq KU 8879
Acer 9610
HP KU 0316
Microsoft 200
Cherry G84-4100

Which of these would be best. They have a USB interface.

Far as I know, pick one. I happen to use a MS 200 right now but even an old Compaq from 15 years ago will work.

Thanks for your answer but another blog said Compaq had problems with Linux. I am leaning toward the Cherry.

OK...use the Cherry...fine with me. You having problems with keyboards or are you simply afraid of having problems because of something you read?

Sorry for the duplication. I will delete questin. I still dont have a good idea of what brand keyboard to buy, besides these. I want a light colored one but those are all PS/2 connection and I dont have a P/S2 outlet.

Then why didn't you tell us what you could use or what color you wanted? USB keyboards work just fine with 12.04...some reason you want to hide your system specs?

So now we want a light colored USB keyboard...right?

What the hell is your machine...must be something strange if a USB Kybd won't work. Tell us your secrets...
