Solved What Graphics card should I get+more qs...?

Specs: Windows XP Service Pack 2 , Pentium 4 2.8GHz / 2gigs
Well, I really, really want to play this online MMORPG called Spiral knights. Its an ok game from what I've seen. Not the point...
I want a good graphics card for my computer. It has to be in the $30 price range (can be adjustable if the card found fits needs pretty good) and has to have at least 512 mb's, or if none are found 256 mb's. I know I don't really need that much mb's, but since I'm buying one I might as well make it strong. Also, it has to be better than the current one I have, which is an Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller with 96.0 mb memory.
I really don't know what type of graphics slot I have so that make it even harder.
Also, final question...I haev an empty slot in my computer. When I searched online around that topic...it said something about some computer slots having more than one graphics slots, so would that be another graphics slot or is it something else?
Thanks in advance to everyone for their help.

According to your specs, you only have a pci slot open for a video card. According to the specs for the game, this card will work. That's a really old machine and not very upgradeable.

Is the make and model # of your machine a secret? No one can help you with the info you posted. Post your specs.

"what else do u need?"

We need the model & model number. The number you gave is useless & comes up with zero hits on Google. We know you have a Dell & I assume it's a desktop. Is it a Dimension, Inspiron, Optiplex, Vostro, etc? And what is the model number? It should be right on the front of the case. If it's not, look for a label in the back.

BTW, the chances of finding a decent gaming card for $30 are pretty slim, unless there's a sizeable rebate involved. And you may need to upgrade the power supply too. If your system has a PCI-express slot, the following article will help. If it has standard PCI or AGP, the article is pretty much useless, except for maybe the Hierarchy Chart at the end of the article.

The link I sent you is a pci card. They make two versions. You're looking at the wrong one.
