Solved What causes screen brightness to change?

Specs: Windows 10, 8 GB
On my Lenovo Yoga 2 laptop the screen brightness seems to change for no reason. There are two keys to adjust brightness on the top row of the keyboard, F11 and F12. However, I am not touching them.

Without further details, it's probably just auto brightness. You can disable it by opening the start menu, typing brightness, and fiddling with the settings there.

Thanks, Razor. I just unchecked the box corresponding to "Change screen brightness when lighting changes." From now on I'll use the brightness keys if I need to change brightness.

Beside being the only answer, yours was the best answer. [:->}

Hi Howagood, you should be more patient waiting for responses.

Does this happen after a certain time (minutes) of non use, then brighten once you start to use?

If so, it could simply be a feature of your power plan.

Good Luck - Keep us posted.
