Nothing displays at all, not even the Toshiba screen? Try connecting to an external monitor...that should help determine if it's a problem with the laptop screen. Auto-shutdown could be a sign of overheating. When's the last time you cleared the cooling vents of dust with a can of spray air?

If the external monitor works then try looking at the laptop screen while you slowly close it until it is nearly shut. If during this you see anything on the screen it might be the cable between the motherboard and the screen - they fail due to hinging. The connections at each end have been know to come loose too.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Hello,
I have to add few lines from riider and Derek,
In addition to display also check out with the psu of mobo as you said,
after a while it goes off by itself.

You've not given us the model number but if it is a laptop there is no PSU in the normal sense of the word - it uses the charger.

Trying an external monitor should be your first step in diagnosis.
