What can anyone reccommend as a laptop?

February 23, 2020 at 08:02:27
Specs: Windows 10, Intel i3, 8gb
Can anyone recommend a Windows laptop with the following spec? Part of the spec I have is...

8GB RAM minimum
512GB SSD RAM
Touchscreen
Used for web browsing, spreadsheet manipulation and other office apps
More than one port of some description
12 inch minimum screen size
Reasonably good sound
Possibly wireless display
Under £1000

Hopefully I'm not being over-optimistic.

Thanks in advance

I'm not following you around the site, but since you mentioned you were going to ask this question:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-ZenBo...

I'm in the US, so I'm hoping the link isn't an issue. Pretty much the requirements you specced out above...

Asus tends to make pretty good stuff as well...

I second T-R-A's choice. I've used Asus motherboards back when I built computers for clients and my Asus laptop has been rock solid. Good company and good products.

Thanks for the above replies.

From what I've seen of the reviews the sound isn't particularly good. Also, a lot of reports say the trackpad gives a lot of problems.

This latter point could be an issue because, as far as I'm concerned I want an uncomplicated mouse pad as when I've used those with gizmos they've been more trouble than they are worth; moving the pointer seemingly wherever it wants to go and not doing what I want it to.
