✔ Best Answer
How much gaming? What games?
Please note that generally laptops are not great for gaming. There are gaming laptops for the more hard core and there are some with distinct graphics 'cards' built in with dedicated graphics memory. These are the ones you should be looking for light to moderate gaming. If the budget allows, 16GB of fast memory and a quad core processor is recommended. If you need it very portable look at 15" models but 17" models have the advantage of a larger display and a full sized keyboard with number keypad (for work).
If you do not need it portable, desktop gaming computers would be better for the sale price range.

No, your needs are not graphics intensive.
Pick out your three top choices and post links to them in your reply for review.

Dell is good, I like HP a little over Dell. Toshiba I have little experience with but no objections to. When in school I purchased HP customized laptops for my daughters due to their graphics intensive needs and they have served well. I build by desktop machines as I see for the uses. You need to compare features between and choose what is best for you within your price range. Since maxing out every feature gets expensive, you need to see what is the best combination for you that you can get. If you post links we can look over the choices closer and advise (copy/paste from address bar on your browser to reply).
