want burn my Inbox to cd - no idea how to do

July 12, 2011 at 19:42:52
Specs: Windows 7
I am new to computers and have my inbox on someone else's computer. I want to burn the contents to a cd. I have tried to research this, but can't get any results that tell a real beginner all the steps. Also want to burn the drafts and sent items. If I can get an old computer running for me to use, it will be XP. Help! Thank you.

There's a lot more info in Help and Support in Vista and Windows 7

Click on the Windows 7 logo ( = the Start button) bottom left of the main desktop screen.
Choose Help and Support
Search for: Copy files to a CD.
........

"If I can get an old computer running for me to use, it will be XP."

So you're familiar with XP ?

Many of the things that are in Windows 7 and Vista are the same or very similar to the same things in XP and previous - they're just in different places.

E.g.

Typing something in the Start Search box is similar to typing something in the Run box

Computer - similar to My Computer

All Programs - Accessories - Windows Explorer - the same.way to get there - similar

Click on Computer - select System Properties on the top bar - Device Manager is on the left - very similar

Control Panel - on the right select Display as Small Icons or Large Icons, not Categories - then you will see icons for the individual things like in Classic view in XP or previous.
Programs and Features there - very similar to Add or Remove Programs

RIGHT click on a blank part of the main desktop screen - Personalize - Display Settings is somewhat like Display Properties
