|I'm trying to copy some data off an old "C" drive that I tried unsuccessfully to recover with Acronis (it's a long story). The drive was working fine before I did this. Now it won't boot Windows. No problem, I think to myself - I'll just plug the drive into the external dock on my 2nd pc and copy the data. |
When the drive is powered up I hear the 2 tone sound that the computer usually makes when I attach an external. However, when I open Windows Explorer the drive never appears. But if I open device manager I can see it.
Anyone have an idea on how I can get the computer to "officially recognize" this drive so I can rescue the data? TIA.
