w3107 beeping after installing two sticks ram

Emachines / W3107

Specs: Windows XP, AMD Sempron 3100+
Replaced E-machine oem ram with 2) 1GB DDR RDIMM PC3200R ram sticks from IBM and it won't start up. There is a constant beeping similar to a truck backing up. Is there a BIOS setting or something that needs to be changed? Everything was grounded and cleaned prior to installation. I have put the old ram back in for now and it functions properly.

It appears that the RAM you installed is either bad or incompatible.

So you installed registered (buffered) DRAM into the motherboard that probably requires un-buffered.

Install the original RAM back and then go to crucial.com and use their online scan tool to determine what type and how much memory you can install.
