Specs: Windows XP, 1.599 GHz / 510 MB
What does it mean when IE hangs and says "virtual memory full?" This happens whenever I view some videos online

Virtual Memory is hard drive space made available only for memory use. It is temporary memory.
It also known as your paging file.

By any chance did anyone change your XP virtual memory settings ?
(> = got to) > My Computer > System Properties > Advanced Tab > (Performance Options) > Advanced > you will see toward the bottom " Virtual Memory setting"
If its changed from "Allow windows to manage virtual memory" check mark allow windows.

If it is already check marked try increasing it a bit at a time until the error message stops.

Your computer is probably an older machine with limited RAM. When your computer runs out of RAM it uses the hard drive as RAM, this is a slow process, your computer needs information and the hard drive cannot keep pace. More RAM would probably be the best solution, there maynot be room for more RAM if the system is dated.

I kinda doubt it says it's "full", it probably says it's "too low". That can mean that you either messed with the pagefile settings & screwed then up or you're running out of hard drive space.

Windows automatically sets Virtual RAM according to how much free space is on the partition. If you have more than one partition and the OS partition is getting full you could change the settings to run the Virtaul memory on a different partition.

Something else to note is that Windows will not even run defrag if your partition has less than 15% free space. Running with less than that is inviting trouble.

Download Ccleaner Slim from the link below and run the cleaner module daily.
