display issue: My screen seems to have problems drawing the output from the video card. I get horizontal lines across the screen flickering - it was annoying but not a show stopper. recently the screen has begun flickering far more and then it will seemingly "melt" [again horizontal lines] to nearly black -although I can still see the desktop in blotches. it goes in and out. any ideas? I'm not thinking power supply or backlight for sure. perhaps inverter or main board replacement?
sounds like dodgy graphics card to me or driver issue. update graphics driver after try lowering the resolution and hardware acceleration. or try plugging in another pc or laptop to check monitor or look at this http://www.computing.net/answers/ha...
I wish. that's an easy one. I have a replacement I swapped out and no change. also plugged in another monitor and the graphics card is shining. =( I was hoping an electronics guru could give a lead towards what would cause a screen to behave like a bad graphics card.
that is a nice looking monitor. I was considering throwing replacement components at this thing - I hate to discard it since it's such a nice monitor. if it's anything but the screen itself the replacement parts are inexpensive... thanks for the recommendation.
