view and track your downloads on all programs

Specs: Windows 7
some reason my computer is now not showing my icons like it used to normally everytime i click on real player, internet explorer, microsoft word, calculator etc. it is not bringing it up it brings up another box that says view and track your downloads? no idea how to fix this is says open save on the right
never seen anything like it please help

Apparently that 'view and track' thing is from IE 9. I assume you upgraded to that? Here's some info on it:

although it doesn't say how to disable it. You might try the CTRL-J thing and see if that toggles it to the smaller window.

hmmm... thanks for the info. one of the links i clicked on came up but some reason that didn't work. But in that ? that was posted it was for VISTA and it worked for her and I have Windows 7 and didn't work for me. Ii am so frustrated i tried to uninstall IE9 and tried a restore my computer and still nothing works. mind blowing because i can't get even the calculator to come up???

You might find something helpful in the other hits. But I think it's just an IE 9 bug. Some moron at microsoft thought it up and apparently no one was there to say "hey that's a stupid idea".

Uninstalling has helped others with the same problem:

Were you unable to uninstall IE 9?

Over the years I've learned it's usually not a good idea to be the 'first person on your block' with some new product. Let other people deal with the inevitable bugs. Then go ahead and install it after the first service pack has been released.

thanks nothing worked so just had to do a factory restore sucks lost all my pictures but i tried everything i could multiple researches

Couldn't you have copied the pictures to cd or flash drive first?

Well I'm glad you got it fixed.

i couldn't get into my computer when i did a restore so i had to do a factory restore and lost everything...
