Video card or motherboard bettery ?

Specs: Windows 7, intel dual core 2800/4gb ram
Heres the thing,sometimes my screen goes black when start up.and i can swear cmos isent starting by the sound.
sometimes even if pressed start it wont start
sometimes it goes black during game..
at first you might think something screwed up right?
but what helps? takin' out the Ram and putting in its place again
also i began thinking its my video card when even thought its not VGA,and its connected to it,my pc still thinks im usin VGA! any ideas?
my graphic card is shapiron 5500 ati as much as i can remmber...
any help?

Re-seating a component is a sign of ESD damage to the board or some power supply issue. It is saying to me that you fully clear some gate or voltage to some circuit. It' run memtest just to be sure it isn't the memory.

Hey, all this stuff is made from the very cheapest parts in the very cheapest fashion. They start off bad and along the way people mis-handle them and this is how they end up.

If it is under warranty then consider returning it.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.

what the power supply? but the question retaines of if it helps..
also a frinde of mine experinced the same on hes brand new pc,the technichians offerd a solution,takeing out the bettery from motherboard and placing it back in,prephes my bettery is dead?

Highly unlikely. If the CMOS battery was completely dead, then you'd get something like a system-configuration error every time you booted the machine, as well as the date & time being set back to the "factory" setting (something like 1/1/2000 00:00:00).

i mean for a frinde ..
what kind of power supply should i buy for it? i mean it might be that power supply is too weak..
