Solved Very quiet ticking sound from my network switch

Specs: Windows 10
Hi People,
I have recently purchased a 24 poe switch however im hearing ticking (almost a voltage arc type sound) coming from the side of the switch, the switch has 2 fans on this side, but it is audible above the volume of the fans. I have contacted the manufacture and they seam to think its normal because the switch has 2 fans (which to me makes no sense at all, seeing as they are DC fans and a transformer is generally used for AC, but moving past that).
The switch has warranty but was purchased online so claiming will be annoying.
Any ideas what would be causing the arc sound?

Cheers,
Josh

Edit: I have checked the unit and the arc sound is coming from the power supply board which I believe is a poe-u200s53.5

Could be anything but unless you have access to appropriate components and skill at fixing hardware then there is nothing you can do. Anything you do might void the warranty so best send it back now.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

An "arcing sound" from the psu... I'd return it under warranty as I have never heard any psu tick... Arcing sounds suggest a possible breakdown within the psu, possible voltage jumps (arcing) between to points within the psu and nearby other bits...

Regardless, I'd insist the item be replaced under warranty.
