My friend purchased a v-card nvidia axle fx 5500 agp for his old motherboard. P4XP 1.5 gb ram x4 agp 350 watts power supply. After installing v-card nothing happens instead a video error 1long beep 3 short beep.We tried everything nothing happens. Is this v-card compatible with his pc? or should we purchase a higher power supply? or do you have other advice? I don't know what is the requirements of this v-card please help us.
You haven't supplied any make/models so we have no idea what the motherboard supports. I doubt the power supply is the problem because the FX5500 is a weak card. It will run on just about anything. Either you don't have the card fully seated in it's slot or the board doesn't support it, but we have no way of checking without knowing the make/model of the board. My guess is the card isn't seated.
Hello to all, I have the same problem with a brand new Axle 5500 DDR1 8x AGP card. The motherboard is an albatron px865pe lite pro that supports 8x AGP. I tried another card and works fine! When I install the current one beeps differently and no signal on the screen.Any help would be appreciate. Thanks in advance
