May 18, 2011 at 01:05:39
Specs: Windows 7, Core 2 Quad/ram 4 gb
I have MSI P35 NEO2-FR Motherboard, Intel Core 2 Quad processor,Windows 7 64 bit SP1 .
My motherboard specification says it has 6 usb2.0 support ..But from 6 only 2 works as usb2.0
i checked device manager.it says enhanced host controller for only two port.Other say "Universal host controller".. i already installed chipset driver installed.. What is the problem.

How did you determine only two ports were working as 2.0?

They are all USB 2.0 ports barring perhaps some hardware failure. Device manager isn't going to list each port. The line that has 'enhanced' in it is 2.0 support for all the ports. The other stuff listed there is simply what's necessary for general USB support and backwards compatibility to 1.1 devices,

(Note that if you've added a USB card then device manager will list its setup separately)

Check this old thread and my # 3 there:

So you didn't run any tests on the other ports or get any error messages when connecting a 2.0 device?

Did you even bother to read past the first sentence in my post above? The 'enhanced' line in device manager applies to ALL the ports.
