On my desktop computer I was editing photos & saving to external hard drive when a message came up with delayed write failed & now it won't recognise the external hard drive or any memory sticks from any of the usb ports. The external hard drive is recogized on my laptop. So what can I do to fix this problem? In device manager the I DE ATA/ATAPI CONTROLL ERS is listed with 3 sub heading under it.
Thanks Anthony for the reply but that doesn't work. I have also remebered that when this incident occurred I got a Dr Watson message also, stating something that I wasn't sure what to do about it. I now get a message saying that an unknown device has been plugged in after it states that it was installed & ready to go! It also states that I've had a computer malfunction. Is there anyone out there who may be able to help me?
