Usb ports are not working in my computer

Specs: Windows 7
usb ports are not working. when i keep my pedrive it is not displaying any thing on the screen then how do I make to work??

Desktop or laptop? If it's a desktop, are you plugging into the front ports or rear? If you're using the front, try the rear.

I would assume the USB controllers are probably working because some needed hardware would not be working otherwise.

I suggest you look for the pen drive in Windows Disk Management. Post all the information listed there for THAT drive.

Just the pendrive or every USB device you plug in? Did that same pendrive previously work in the same USB ports?

Other USB devices probably include keyboard, mouse, printer, etc. so please clarify.
I also suspect the problem is either with the front USB port or with the pendrive itself. Try a rear USB port, then try the drive on another computer. Report back results with more details, the more information you give us, the easier it will be to find the answer.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
