USB port on front panel is broken.

Specs: Windows 7
How do I take off the front panel of my computer tower? My computer is giving me the "USB Device Over Current Status Detected!!" error after booting my computer, which makes my computer shut down 15 (fifteen) seconds after starting up. I'm thinking that it is my front panel USB port(s) that's causing the problem, because the top port is damaged. The whole inside of the port is missing because my 4 (four) year old brother tripped over the mouse wire that was plugged into that port. If you can provide any answers, please do! And yes, I have learned to plug in my keyboard/mouse into the BACK of the computer! =)

Unplug the power cord, open the case, trace the cable from the USB port to the motherboard, unplug it from the board.

Yes. Also you can purchase a front USB port expansion device that will plug into the motherboard internal USB port(s) and mount into a spare 5inch external bay just below your DVD drive and give you back front USB access (but keep the mouse and keyboard plugged into the rear ports) for external devices you use periodically.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
