Specs: Windows 7
Hi.
I can't find a solution for my problem on the net. During i was working ona document stroed on the usb flash drive the "connection" between pc and flash was interupted. The pop window said the usb not recognised. I tried the usb flash on other pc , noteboks but nothing. The usb gets power, because the light is on (strange...the light is always on, not like when reading or copying is blinking). There is not shown nither in the My computer folder, nither in the disk menagement.
Is there a way to force the acess to the data on it?

You can't access the data on it if the PC will not recognise it. You will have to buy a new flash drive. They can fail without warning so you should never use them to store important files. They are suitable only for short term storage such as when you want to transfer a file from one PC to another PC.

Important files should always be backed up to a second hard drive or to CD or DVD, never use a flash drive/pendrive for backups!

What brand flash drive is it. While it might not be usable any longer, there are sometimes software fixes that will restore the flash drive. I was able to use a flash drive that was doing something similar to yours.

Do you still remember the names of the software?

I used the Super Stick Recovery Tool V1.0.2.19.exe on a USBest flash drive from Micro Center. Download it here:
http://www.mediafire.com/?51ddt863p...
Run it as administrator with the drive plugged in and click "Update"
I'm not sure it will work for you, but it's probably worth a try. Isn't anything written on the flash drive which indicates what type it is or where it's from ?

Not working. It says that memory stick isn't connected.
On the outside of the USB flash nothing is written. On the inside there are 2 chips: on one is written Create, on he other: hynix
If this is some help.
For me it would be enough to open the folder, not't need to copy the files.

How does one look at the chips inside a flashdrive? Any I've ever seen were encased in moulded opaque plastic with only the metal USB connection protruding. Either it works or it doesn't. Whatever was on it is lost.
Next time you are working on a file sourced from a flashdrive copy it to your PC. Work on it then make a new copy back onto the flashdrive.

This one it can be opened easy. The case is from 3 pieces, without any glue. As i said i don't need the files to copy, only to see the files name.
