I have a 1GB USB flash device that was a gift. It's engraved, so I'd prefer if I could get it to work again. The device will not open electronically and I'm ok with losing all data stored on it, but when I try to format it, I get an error saying the device cannot be formatted.
Properties: Disk: Disk 1 Type: Unknown Status: Unreadable Partition style: Not Applicable Capacity: 0MB Unallocated space: 0MB Reserved space: 0MB
Any thoughts as to what I could do to save this device? Any sort of manual override?
